French Macarons

You know, I love collecting beautiful cake stands..
but I don't make cake everyday...
so they get lonely!

My lovely cake stands have no reason to be lonely anymore!

I  finally finished my Faux French Macarons
Now they can keep my cake plates and stands nice and cozy in between real sweet treats!

..AND! They look lovely with the french country decor that I adore so much!

I made a rainbow of  "flavors."

Vanilla Bean - Chocolate - Strawberry

Orange - Lemon

Apricot - Pistachio

Green Tea - Aqua Vanilla Bean
Because I LOVE Aqua! ;0)

They are also available in my shop!

God Bless!

French Barometer

So...I LOVE french baramoters
but I can not afford one right now...

so what's a girl to do?...
get creative, of course!

I found this barometer (in french) on ebay.
I'm not sure if it works, lol, but that's ok.

I hung onto it while I searched for something I liked to put it in,
finally I found this clock -on ebay as well.

It had paint splatted on it and a lot of the gold had
been rubbed off over time, so I added a little more gold
-using this cool stuff:

Next, I popped out the barometer piece from it's wooden frame,
and removed the clock from it's "frame".

...and then married the two together!
 Here we are:
My version of a barometer

Hopefully it will hold me over until I can get a real one :0)
I'm happy with how it came out and it only costed around
$25.oo!

Me and baby have made it to 32 weeks today!
I still can't believe it. We are excited and I am also nervous about
the whole delivery part! LOL -I know it will be fine-bc it has to be,
but I am still nervous. :0)

A Tale Of Two Tables

These are our 2 latest projects. I really really wanted a cute round cherry table for the "library" room, so I begged and bugged hehe ... and Sher (DH) made this beauty for us!!

I really love the color, the graceful legs
and the nice apron that it has...

I'm not exactly sure how it happened but we miscalculated the measurements for the top lol, therefore leaving us with an extra one! So we just put our heads together and came up with a plan ...out of our little problem, a second table was born...

I actually love "Happy Accidents"
I asked for 1 and got 2!!

...here we are dry fitting the pieces together,

and attaching some nice details.

This is what the top of the table looks like..it's so prettyyy!!
It is also made of cherry but Sher finished it in a different way so the two tables wouldn't look alike.
...It's actually pretty different from the first one.

Here's some of the details close up....

Voila! Here it is! ...I really love it...I love how it's so different from the other one, different from most of our stuff in fact.

It's really a joy to eat at it everyday...Me and Sher are both crazy about wood since he's been building lol. Watching a pretty piece of wood that starts off just as a board evolve into something so pretty is always amazing.

I'm so blessed to have such a handy and crafty husband!! :0)

Thanks for checking out the 2 new arrivals to our household.
Take care and God bless.

SO Close!

This morning I found this sofa and a matching chair on craigslist...
FOR 75 BUCKS!!..
..so right away began to dreammm (my fave past time btw).....

I could re-cover them with buttery colored fabric or something and make them SUPER CUTE!
Similar to this:

Or go crazy and have a toile chair like this:

SoooOoOO after a couple hours of trying to make an appointment with the seller AND figure out when I could arrange pick up for them AND get to the other side of town!
I was told that the seller has changed their mind!!

AHH!! WHAAAAT?!?!?!?!

LOL!.....so saaaad! It wasn't meant to be, but I'm still hoping she'll change her mind AGAIN!

Well...when something like this happens I always believe that it's because something bigger and better is on the horizon!
I'm looking forward to seeing what that is!
*BIG SMILE*
