What Was Around The Corner

Well here they are, I'm so glad the other seller changed their mind! LOL
I think these are much cuter, I love the shape and they are pretty comfy too!

The blue is pretty blue in person lol, so I hope to re-cover them someday...
right now we are busy looking for a home!

So as soon as we find one and I know where these will go, I can choose a nice fabric and take on the challenge....wish me luck! lol

This was our first attempt at upholstery, we built the wooden sofa frame out of mahogany and then had to build the sofa mattress from scratch.....YIKES! That was quite a project LOL..

We had to tie the springs twice because we had made some mistakes lol..
...Here's the finished project.

After we finally finished the sofa we swore we wouldn't do it again haha, but now here I am with these cute couches in need of new fabric!
I'm sure it'll be a fun little adventure  :0)

A Tale Of Two Tables

These are our 2 latest projects. I really really wanted a cute round cherry table for the "library" room, so I begged and bugged hehe ... and Sher (DH) made this beauty for us!!

I really love the color, the graceful legs
and the nice apron that it has...

I'm not exactly sure how it happened but we miscalculated the measurements for the top lol, therefore leaving us with an extra one! So we just put our heads together and came up with a plan ...out of our little problem, a second table was born...

I actually love "Happy Accidents"
I asked for 1 and got 2!!

...here we are dry fitting the pieces together,

and attaching some nice details.

This is what the top of the table looks like..it's so prettyyy!!
It is also made of cherry but Sher finished it in a different way so the two tables wouldn't look alike.
...It's actually pretty different from the first one.

Here's some of the details close up....

Voila! Here it is! ...I really love it...I love how it's so different from the other one, different from most of our stuff in fact.

It's really a joy to eat at it everyday...Me and Sher are both crazy about wood since he's been building lol. Watching a pretty piece of wood that starts off just as a board evolve into something so pretty is always amazing.

I'm so blessed to have such a handy and crafty husband!! :0)

Thanks for checking out the 2 new arrivals to our household.
Take care and God bless.
